When I say this is what I dream about, I mean THIS IS WHAT I DRRRREEAAAAMMM ABOUT!!! I had so much fun putting this table together, mainly because I am obsessed with all things Vietri! And I got to have an 150 year old farm home in upstate New York as my canvas {insert heart eyed emojis here}.
Sharing a meal with friends is invaluable, especially when those friends feel like family <3. Daniel and I, along with some friends, rented a house in the Catskills one weekend and it was ideallic. A restored farm home with no TV, wooden beams, a white picket fenced-in yard, an outdoor wood burning grill and a fireplace to keep you toasty inside too! We had a slight misunstanding with the host, but other than that we would go back in a heart beat! The best part about the weekend was I got to prepare and decorate this beautiful table. And we got to take the pups!
When I teamed up with Vietri, I knew I wanted to do a shoot in this house and it turned out better than I imagined! I loved coming up with the look and color scheme and creating a meal to compliment the tablescape. Since it’s fall and we were in the mountain where the leaves were changing, I wanted to incorporate those colors into the table. One of my favorite things about Vietri’s Bellezza White collection, is it has just enough detail to stand on its own, but you can also pair it with almost anything or any color. Since I love all things table settings, I enjoy having everyday dishware that allows me to come up with completely different tables and themes: fall, Mexican, classic and holiday to name a few. There are SO many things a love about this table, but one of my favorites things would be the wine glasses. I love how they are unique and simple at the same time. And the vase!! And the silverware! Basically, I love it all! Okay, I could go on and on but I’ll stop here and give you all the deets….
Meal: mixed greens with shredded chicken, pecans, honey roasted almonds, feta, roasted butternut squash, apples and dressed with balsamic vinaigrette; soup: homemade butternut squash soup (recipe coming soon), and bread from Spring Natural Kitchen on the UWS. I used mini Christmas wreaths for the napkin rings {from Hobby Lobby}, along with the natural gift tags I used for place cards. I finished it off with a twig of thyme, rosemary and sage!
